How could you describe your career path in few words ?
I started my career journey in 2013 at the age of 19, starting my business journey in manufacturing at a young age, straight from high school. It was never an easy journey but yet it was promising, being able to create jobs both direct and indirect thus bringing a positive impact in the society was one of my big aspirations and I am proud I made it happen. So in few words since I started my career to date, with all the big Business challenges that I experienced in 2021 that almost took me out of the Industry, I can say is I thank God that AGAINST ALL ODDS I survived the business hit and here I am still making my dreams come true.
What was your most challenging experience and it has changed your mindset ?
In 2021, my business experienced one of the biggest falls, went into debts, led to reducing employees, relocating office premises, cutting costs, lost number of clients, . This is one of the biggest challenge I will never forget, but year 2022 we slowly started bouncing back to date. One of the reason for the fall was the series of fraud done by employees that was slowly damaging the business, sabotage, increasing number of competitors etc. I accepted that it was a challenge and not a problem so I accepted to fall back and rebuild the business again, against all odds. From this business shake one of the lesson I learnt that, first we shouldn't rush into speed growth just because the business is at its peak, thorough research is good. Second, proper, strict and effective management is very very important to keep the business intact, this trait should never be underestimated by any chance, otherwise it is one of the source of major downfall of many business.
Based on your experiences, what skills should an entrepreneur develop in 2023?
First of all, just the fact that you are an Entrepreneur learning new skills and improving the current skills should never be an option, it is one of the trait that will not only make you individually grow but also grow as a business and be able to distinguish yourself from other Entrepreneurs in the business industry, so some of the skills that are important to embrace especially in 2023 are:
1. Modern Managerial skills .
2. How to integrate your business with AI [Artificial Intelligence].
3. Marketing and customer relation (since we are in the world of rapid competition, being tactful is very important to be ahead of the game).
